White Haired Actor - Cop Drama?

I need help remembering the name of a white-haired, late-30s to
early-40s actor who played a no-bullshit lead investigator character
in a mid-2000s US cop drama of which I can't recall the name. He was
normal build, with hard facial lines, and what I believe to be
naturally white or light tow hair, similar to Rutger Hauer's, if that
helps.

I can remember what he looks like pretty well, but I can't remember
any details surrounding his character or the show.
