Palm Springs fest to fete Stephen Daldry

DaldryStephen Daldry will get the Director of the season kudo in the 23rd annual Palm Springs fest in a gala looking for Jan. 7 in the Palm Springs Convention Center."Daldry has received worldwide acclaim like a director, getting his consummate skill to both cinema and stage," stated festival chairman Harold Matzner. "In the latest work, 'Extremely Noisy and extremely Close,' he directs a virtuoso cast within the story of the youthful boy who, after losing his father on 9/11, continues a mission to understand how much of an unusual key present in his father's possessions may unlock."The Palm Springs festival announcement comes just like the three-time Oscar nominee is ramping up for his film's limited-release Xmas Day opening.Located by Mary Hart, the honours gala will even present honours to formerly introduced honorees George Clooney, Glenn Close, Michel Hazanavicius, Gary Oldman, Kaira Pitt, Octavia Spencer, Michelle Williams and also the film "Youthful Adult."
